Torre Mordillo Archaeological Field School — June 1-26, 2026

The program is designed to offer students a holistic view of methodologies and techniques of modern archaeological research, as well as the main theoretical issues related to this discipline, through an extended period of experiential learning.

Daily field work will mostly consist of:

  • Archaeological excavation using the single context recording system
  • Site recording including technical drawing, context recording and photography
  • Artefact processing including handling, cleaning, and storage

Marie Curie in Paris Field School — June 20-28, 2026 (tentative)

Blending science and gender studies, physics and social analysis, in the locations where Marie Curie lived and worked, this course will offer students an introduction to aspects of physics and chemistry related to radiation, along with an introduction to feminist epistemology and feminist analysis of Marie Curie as a cultural icon.

Activities:

  • Daily field trips and site visits to important landmarks and institutions
  • Lectures delivered by faculty and local experts on Marie Curie
  • Journalling and field notes
  • Final project
