2026 Winter Orientation: Jan. 6
All new students who start at Mount Allison in January are invited to take part in Winter Orientation immediately prior to the start of classes. Winter Orientation represents a condensed version of Fall Orientation.
1) Register for Winter Orientation
Winter Orientation (Jan. 6) is a 1-day express introduction to Mount Allison for new students. It includes information sessions, staff introductions, and explanations about important services.
Benefits of registering for Winter Orientation:
- FOOD! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Jan. 6 are all included.
- REIMBURSEMENT OF AIRPORT TRANSPORT! It is easy to take a taxi from the Moncton Airport to °®¶¹´«Ã½app campus. It takes 25 minutes. This year, instead of arranging transportation to campus, we will reimburse you for a taxi to campus. Just give us your receipt ($88 CAN is the flat rate to campus from the airport).
- SWAG! We will provide you with a Mount Allison welcome pack full of fun goodies.
- FRIENDS! This is a great chance to meet other new students who are also starting their studies in January.

2) Airport transportation
REIMBURSEMENT OF AIRPORT TRANSPORT! It is easy to take a taxi from the Moncton Airport to °®¶¹´«Ã½app campus.Taxis wait outside the arrival doors at the airport and the trip takes 25 minutes. This year, instead of arranging transportation to campus, we will reimburse you for a taxi to campus. Just give us your receipt ($88 CAN is the flat rate to campus from the airport) and we will reimburse you as long as you’re registered for Winter Orientation. Email winterorientation@mta.ca.
3) Important dates
- Dec. 23, 2025 — University closes (4:30 p.m.) for the Winter Holiday Break
- Jan. 5, 2026 — University re-opens (8:30 a.m.)
- Jan. 5, 2026 — Residences open (10 a.m.)
- Jan. 6, 2026 — Orientation for new students
- Jan. 7, 2026 — Winter term classes begin
